Hi Jodie,

I've been around this board for long enough to know that you might not get a lot of support for your position. Please don't confuse that for lack of respect or support for you. On the whole, this is not a conservative bunch. :) But, on the whole, this is a nice and supportive bunch.

I'm a moderate leaning towards conservative, and I've definitely found that about my own views.

I wish I knew how I felt about this war. It was so much more clearcut when Iraq had just invaded their neighbor, and our ally. I suspect that I will only know how I feel in retrospect, hindsight being 20/20 and all. If the war goes swiftly and without a huge toll in human life, if the Iraqi people are happy to be liberated, if a cache of weapons is found, I will probably applaud the effort. If it goes the other way, I will probably question the wisdom.

I'm just glad that I'm not in the position to make that decision. And I hope that our president is privy to a heck of a lot more information than I am, and I pray that he is guided in wisdom.

And I pray, to the God of Christian and Jew and Muslim and Hindu and all, for the soldiers, and for the people of Iraq. I pray their casualties in the war are less than their casualties under the reign of Saddam Hussein.
