Well, you answered the question I asked below. And I asked because what you described sounded awfully familiar.
I'm glad you're calling your pdoc. This seems like a medication issue, and it's good that you're taking care of yourself by calling. Perhaps your recent bout of insomnia triggered something.
I know I'm now paying big time for trying to squeeze a few extra hours in the day. But mine was on purpose, so i can rightly kick myself.
Take care, Jodie, and remember that this too will pass (but more quickly and pleasantly with the proper meds).
