Hi laurarn,

So nice that you posted! The group that you're getting up the courage to join - is it an internet group? or a "real-life-people" group? Just curious. Although people would probably never suspect it, inside, somewhere, I'm shy & depending on the situation, can feel shy in a group. When I first posted here at PsychoBabble, I was pretty shy & was awfully excited to have people answer me.

I am so glad that you went ahead & stepped outside the boundaries that you'd always known, to get help for yourself. Congratulations. That was a huge step to take...sounds like the first of many steps, perhaps!

Hope you keep posting!

hugs, Kath

> Hi everyone. I've been reading posts on this site for two years. I've posted a couple of times and it actually felt quite liberating. I find myself getting up and turning on the computer just to update myself on how everyone is doing. I like the various boards. I am just now learning as a life skill that not everyone has to agree all the time.

Talk therapy helped but it soon became evident that physiologically there was depression. I wasn't comfortable with my GP managing psychotropics, so I arranged a visit with a pdoc. Best move I ever made.

Mostly because of reading your stories and posts and thinking that maybe being part of a group may not be so bad after all. In fact, it's kinda neat.
