That's a loaded question for me Beardy, my father committed suicide (but he also did some terrible things alive). Yes, my siblings and I will never recover- they feel anger and I fear what I feel. I think the parent that tries to take their children with them honestly feel they are better off- I guess I think it's something of a psychotic break- and once you experience that nothing makes any sense in this world.
