I send my baby off tomorrow morning (she's 10). Such a time of mixed emotions, feel like I spent a lot of good time with her this summer, but it's never enough. Sometimes I wish I could home-school her, the public shcool system doesn't challenge her enough, especially not enough interesting math for her. So if I'm going to try to manage extra math from home, well, maybe I should just do the whole thing...
I'm sure I sound extra crazy for saying that! Sure, I like my freedom when she's not here, but I feel the years moving by far too quickly.

> This morning I watched my kitchen lace curtain flutter as the north wind blew in. I thought it will soon be time to close the windows for the evening to keep the frosty chill out and let them stay open during the afternoon for a bit to air out the house. Each season brings a transition. And the autumn has such a sweet one, because the children are BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! The northern breeze plucked them right out the door onto the schoolbus. YEAH, I survived!! Now I'm off to hang the clothes out, dryer bit the dust, and then for a long hopefully undisturbed sleep.
