And having worked in medical settings, and other settings where private information was revealed, in every instance this was discussed to some extent by the office staff (among themselves, not necessarily broadcast around). To some extent, it is human nature to do so, I believe. And, if it's happening at my doc's office, that's ok with me, but if it's happening in the HR department of Funk's Tool and Dye, that is a whole different deal.
