Well, we might need to agree to disagree here. I am still an evolutionist. But I don't see any reason why God couldn't use evolution to work his majesty. The heavens do declare the glory of God and the firmament tells of His Handiwork, but it isn't terribly specific as to God's methods.

Which is not to say I don't see the guiding hand of God in evolution. I love this story, and mind you I don't remember it well and I can't find it written anywhere although I have looked. But it is about a rabbi and his friend who believed in random chance and strict evolutionism. So the rabbi presented him with a scroll containing a beautiful poem written in elaborate calligraphy. And the friend asked "Did you write this? It's just beautiful." And the rabbi responded "My cat jumped in ink last night and walked around my desk and this is the result." And the friend didn't believe him and said "Nothing this beautiful could be created by the random marks of a cat."

Thank you for having this discussion with me tonight Lou. It is just what I needed. I appreciate your kindness. Sometimes I need a little nudge to remember my own path.

Many thanks.
