Oh ELA, I am sorry!
I know your GP is hopeless, but do you have a hospital doctor who will communicate with you honestly and fully?
I would agree with the others re looking after yourself as first priority- college can wait; you have the best possible reason which no-one could dispute for taking time off. You can take it up again later.
Did you ever get round to seeing a counsellor at college (or outside- or therapist or whatever)? Would highly recommend it as support till you get over this crisis- your reaction could be an entirely normal one to such a crisis, but that doesnt make it easier to handle. The hospital doctors could also refer you to a psychologist, if you want to ask them (I appreciate you may not).
*If* there is some element of depression and you need it (and its OK with the liver problems), there are also meds which make a huge difference.
The clots problems have been serious and dramatic, of course, but havent caused anything unreversible physically, from what you have mentioned. So this is a horrible time, but one which should pass.
Please hang on in there, and look after yourself. And use any support which is going- you deserve it!
