bonjour, and a question

Posted by sar on January 9, 2002, at 21:36:37

hey all,

i haven't been able to get to a computer for awhile and just wanted to say *bonjour mes amis*! :) there are some interesting threads i'm missing out on...

i recently moved to a new city, and when i inquired about free psychiatric care, the woman on the telephone asked if i'm on probation or parole. i told her that i'm on probation for 2 years for DWI. she said that i'd have to get a special probationer, a "mental health probationer" or somesuch, and i'm wondering what the hell this means; does it mean they'll be working together to monitor me more closley? would it be unkosher to just go on with my regular PO and not tell the mental health services i'm on probation?

this makes my head a mess. i've never been good with authority and resent having to check in with a PO once a month, esp if (s)he is working with some sort of counselor who monitors my activities.

i would have to LIE and waste alot of time.. i suppose i could do it, but i don't want to.

does anyone else have experience with this?

best wishes to you all, hope you are having a wonderful january, and i hope to catch up with the lot of you sometime soon.

love,

yr ole poster sar
