it sucks, doesn't it?

why did yall move out to the sticks?

i do know what you mean...i lived as a suburbanite/trust-fund kid my entire life 'til now...it's all gone...

> Hubby is starting own business and don't know when next check is coming in. It's very stressful. I wanted him to work on his own, but not all of the sudden like this. There was no warning.

is it very lucrative, do you think? would it help for you to get a more stable job?

> Do you think I should try to get a job for security? Remember, I'm 30. My background is in Journalism and Electronic Publishing. There's just not much around here.

well, have you tried freelancing? i admire your writing style...there are numerous publications that you could submit to...though i know that it *is* very competitive...my university (the largest in the U.S.) has more journalism/psych majors than any other subject. everyone wants to write! it can be v. discouraging...

> My interests are books and animals. I think that's it. ;) Quite low paying, as you know. BUT, insurance coverage!!

are there many animal jobs out there in rural NY?

maybe you could write about animals... :) ...there are so many possibilities...do you remember the children's magazine *Highlights*? they (as i remember) always had some sort of animal/science based article...

i'll e-mail you after i eat my spaghetti...my family is straight-up *weird.* Military Texan dad and Naive Elementary-School Teacher New-Englander Mom. i've been to dallas only once...my upbringing is san antonio, but my beliefs and half-heart are in austin. i don't know where the other half of my heart is. it might be cali.
