The sun rises bringing the new day
here I walk through my darkness
The sky blackens as the sun sets
and I walk through candlelight
The world is pulling me down
from all sides come shadows of sorrow
Through every window I see change coming at me
I want to run
but the predator threatens ever closer
I cannot escape-I am weak prey
I weep for something simple that I can rely on
something strong that will not fall
Yet all I see is mangled cobwebs of confusion
I want to run
but my shadows will follow
there is no place I can hide
So I close my eyes and pretend to fly away
Where no one can reach me
hurt me
leave me
There I am me, and only me
.......and I walk through light
And beneath a blackened sky...I sleep
But this is a mere dream in which I dwell
till someone pulls me down
and I walk through the darknessJena
