> please help, I am having thoughts, on and off, about committing sucide, I think. Obviously for the past while in this message board, I have posted numerous lengthy messages on a daily basis. I always feel guilty if that matters. I'd rather OD on anti-depressants if possible but, I am really trying not to.
OK, here's the help: I've been there and I applaud your perceptiveness. Suicidal ideation is not always dramatic and grandiose. It can sneak up on you until you think it sounds perfectly reasonable.
You need to do one of two things, right now. Either go to the nearest emergency room or pick up the phone and call a suicide hotline. The operator can help you if you don't have a number handy.
You must have professional help now. It will support your struggle to deal with this and will send a wake-up call to get you appropriate treatment.
Right now you need to prevent impulsive mistakes.
As far as overdosing on AD meds, think again. There are worse things than completed suicide, one of which is waking up with destroyed kidneys or liver. Depression is TREATABLE. By posting your thoughts here,
you've indicated that you want to live. Now follow up. Pick up the phone or go to the hospital now.
