Yeah, most people have it the opposite when it comes to the subject of severe mental illness. The meds are the foundation of your recovery, both short term and long term. Talk therapy is just for stress relief, introspection(which some of us need less of to be honest about it) and therapy does little to actually get rid of the illness.The meds are the meat and potatoes of any good recovery plan. Talk therapy is the dessert.
