I emailed my sister recently about a conversation we had had about a movie with Matt Damon. She said we never had that conversation and a search on imdb of Matt Damon showed he was not in such a movie. I must have dreamed it. I often have memories that I can't place and suspect are fragments of dreams. I think this is common.
