I love my real T

Posted by TherapyGirl on November 15, 2011, at 21:13:28

I ended up emailing her about the situation with current T, starting the email with: I know you may not read or respond to this email and that's okay, but I have to write it (and I wouldn't turn down a response if you're so inclined). I've been trying to figure this all out in my head and with other friends for days and it's just not working. Maybe if I write it all down and send it to you I will be more clear on what happened and what to do next.

She just responded and it brings tears to my eyes, but also gratefulness for having her in my life, in any capacity. Here's what she wrote:

I have taken some time to reflect on how best to honor/protect our relationship in light of the painful, difficult situation you are dealing with. I think that would be to let you know that I am aware (read the email) and hate that you are in pain. More importantly, I want you to know that I truly believe you are at a stronger, different place and that you will work your way through this to where you need to be. And that is not therapy talk, it is from the heart.

So, I am and will be thinking of you and trusting you will find wisdom, courage and resolution.
