I just had to share that I adore my new pdoc. I quit my old pdoc in February b/c he didn't listen to me at all. He didn't care about what I thought or wanted to do and he didn't spend any time with me. So I switched to new pdoc. New pdoc doesn't take insurance, which sucks b/c he is expensive, but he is totally worth it. He is warm and listens to me. He meets with me regularly and ends each appointment with, "If you need anything, please call me."
So, I'm supposed to see him next week, but I have been having a rough few weeks and I wanted to up my meds a little. So I called him. He not only returned my call promptly, but he was happy to call in an rx for me. My old pdoc would not have any phone contact at all and refused to call in rx's. When I was having a bad time, I just had to wait until I could get in for an appt.
Just wanted to share that there are still some good pdocs out there. :)
