A parting gift

Posted by emmanuel98 on December 29, 2009, at 22:15:26

I have been seeing my T for five years.  We decided jointly to end therapy since I am so much better.  It has been an intense and profoundly transformative journey.  He's been wonderful to me, unfailingly loving and compassionate and committed.  I have two more appointments before we end (I'll still see him every couple of months for med visits).  I want to give him a gift, but don't know what to give him.  I have already given him things in the past including a decoupaged tissue box holder I made which he uses in his office and the manuscript of a memoir I'm writing.  What else can I give him to say goodbye?  I was thinking maybe a plant for his office, to signify growth and life.  But I don't know.  I'm bad at thinking of gifts.
