Your attachment sounds so secure and mutually rewarding, and clearly you are cared for. So I'm not sure why you feel sad after this session. But I am struck by your comment about being the odd little therapee daughter, as you put it, given the feelings you expressed in the family photos thread. I wonder if this has something to do with your melancholy? It is so hard to accept that despite the richness of the relationship, there are some dimensions it cannot help but lack.
