another dream I can't stop thinking about

Posted by raisinb on April 5, 2009, at 14:42:32

I had a dream last night that's stayed with me throughout the day. I feel it was trying to tell me something, but I can't figure out what.

It was the middle of the night and I was standing in my garage. The garage door was open. Outside, there were lots of dark men I didn't know milling around, talking in hushed voices. They told me there was an angel in the sky, singing.

I looked up at the moon and saw her. She had dark hair and was indeed singing.

I was torn about whether to believe them and watch her. On the one hand, I was intrigued. On the other, I didn't know these men, it was the middle of the night, and my garage door was open, leaving me and my house vulnerable to attack. And I don't believe in angels.

In the end, I closed the door with only the slightest of regret. But suddenly in there with me was a little girl who needed to be held and wouldn't let me go. She was wearing a frilly, beautiful dress as if it were a special occasion. I held her, stroked her hair and her back. I knew she'd come from one of the families of the men outside, and her parents were not paying her any attention.

As I held her I noticed there was something wrong with her face. Her eyes were above her forehead, her hair was gray and thin, and I think there were other deformities. I knew she needed love anyway, and I kept holding her. Then I woke up, wondering what on earth this could mean.

Thoughts, babble interpreters? :)
