Yeah, Lucie, I was worried about caseworkers' rubber stamp with the funding issues. Just today, I saw my state got federal aid just for Medicaid.
I don't know if I want the 'disability' stigma, but then again I have thousands in doctors' bills.
My insurance co. who dropped me for late payment just sent me a letter that indicates I can't be reinstated (unless I serve active military duty again). In the past, as I was told, they normally reinstate everyone who had missed payments. I guess in reviewing my file, they thought I was too expensive.
Good idea about contacting an organization or advocate. If I can muster up the will/energy to continue the application process. I am so sick of paperwork..trying to catch up after months of being ill.
