I agree with everyone else. Less is better and you really have no reason to even answer a question if you don't want to. Just a look and a shrug is enough. Say Out. I would just say out to an appointment. Or be rude and say "I would tell you why? No just kidding.

The jokes are good but again you are not obligated to say anything. This is a question I put to my pdoc and he said you don't have to tell anyone about our appointments it is no ones business but ours.

I realized in that moment he was right, I am an adult and not responsible to having to answer every question but forth to me. It is hard though to break that habit.

Actually I don't think people realize that it is quite a rude question of them to ask you.

If you wanted them to know you would tell them so they should assume that it is none of their business but I guess it is human nature to be curious.
