We've arrived safely at our evacuation hotel. I've got my computer, but I don't have it set up well quite yet. I'll try to get it a bit more comfortable this evening.
It made me feel warm inside to see the good wishes for us. We've been very very fortunate. The trip was smooth with minimal traffic. I'm a teensy bit worried about my very obese dog. Her breathing is a bit labored. But otherwise we're all well and healthy.
My therapist moved about an hour out of town, and may or may not evacuate. His house is in pretty good position to avoid damage, but he might evacuate until the storm is over anyway.
My mother is leaving tomorrow and will be staying with a friend, so she'll be ok. My brother and his family appear to have firm plans as well. We might be better off than they are, since we missed the traffic.
