I picked up a copy of my surgical report last week when I went in for my post-op. There were adhesions found that are usually caused by previous abdominal surgeries (I haven't had any), infections (none that I know of) or physical/sexual abuse. I don't know why, but seeing that in writing completely freaks me out. Maybe because it's the first time I've had "corroboration" that what I say happened did happen? Maybe because the question of possible sexual abuse is still out there? Definitely partly because I am stunned that they found anything like that. I'm just freaked.
