OH HF, I'm so sorry your family couldn't attend.

My parents ruined my high school graduation, didn't attend my college graduation and didn't come to my doctoral dissertation.

I've won a lot of awards too, all of which I accepted by myself.

It becomes okay the more you experience it as an adult. I promise you it does.

In fact, the more awards and honors you get (and I suspect you will receive a lot of them) the more you realize that these are personal victories and, in reality, most people (enitrely good people) just won't "get it". At least that's my experience.

As far as being jealous of your T's kids, who wouldn't be? I know I would be. Imagine having a family and past that actually made things easier for us! I think I would blow by jealousy and straight into anger.

Talk to your T about this.

Seldom.
