Well, I have been seeing her for 2-3 years now. We are very close and she is not only my counselor but my hockey coach as well. I have spilled my guts to her about almost everything with the exception of my rush on her. I feel that we are very close. She is very sensitive to my needs and a very sensitive person. But the thing is I am not sure how she would handle the subject of transference. The thing is in the past when tranference became evident to m counselrs they referred me to someone else. I can't bare the thought of that happening to me this time. Plus I am not sure what her policy is in regards to transference. Any advice is welcome.

So my defintion of transference is usually something along the lines of the same as the freudian defintion without the person reminding me of someone I knew from my past. What do you think? Should I tell her or not?

It is excruciating, but as I told him: "I would rather be in pain WITH you than in pain WITHOUT you....we attended the same conference in hawaii last week; I talked to him on the phone but didn't see him (he saw me walking out of a session, but was too far away to say hello)....
