Whew, so many potential issues! What if I beat her badly at something? What if *she* beat *me*? What if she were a sore loser? What if she couldn't hold up her end of the trash talk?
In real life, mine has a Sorry game on her shelf, which is ironic, since I am constantly enraged at her--and she used to say "I'm sorry" frequently--until I got mad at her for apologizing.
