I sort of consider a week to be the week between appointments. So if you normally go on Wednesday, Monday would be later in the week. If you feel you need to call, call. Did she say 1x/week was the most? Or do you think it might just have been a number she was throwing out there? If it was just a number, she probably wouldn't mind twice a week if you really need to.
And besides, one week with two calls isn't going to make a difference if most of the time you only do once a week.
