No reason to be embarrassed. It's so hard to access feelings, I know. I'm just barely (barely) getting comfortable with them. My T is also very calming and soothing, and that's one of the more important things in our relationship. He told me the other day, "I think we're well matched because I'm a genuine, authentic sort of person, what you see is what you get with me, and it seems like you really need someone genuine and authentic."
It sounds to me like you need someone genuine too, to allow you to trust. Good luck with your new T. I hope you can trust him and it turns out well for you.
