Hi, Iwillsurvive,

No, there's only one computer. But there are two users, me and Leo. We use the same email address, which may have raised a flag. We could fix that by just using two different email addresses. If he has to post, he'll just re-register with a different email address. He should be able to post here as a separate person if he needs to.

I don't know if they pay attention to specific computers. I'm guessing they would do this by noting the IP address of a post's originator. It's tricky, though, because many people have ISP's that generate a new IP address every time they log on to the internet. A service like this might be able to tell which provider a poster uses, but not which computer is being used.

I suppose if two "different" posters send messages from the same IP at just about the same time, that might indicate multiple postings from one person. But then again, how could they know whether or not the first poster logged off immediately after sending a message, and the second poster happened to be assigned the same IP address? It's not likely, but it can happen.

This is all probably being too legalistic on my part. I'm just thinking "aloud". The point is that if Leo needs to post, he'll re-register with a different email address (and maybe a different handle if the signup process requires that). I doubt we'll be posting messages at just about the same time, the way we did at the beginning of this thread. That was a case where he just took over the machine and fired one off right away while I was in the john.

This is making my head hurt again and I've already been moving around too fast today. I'm also in that stage of serious depression that makes everything looks "wrong", especially anything I do.

I tried to walk it off earlier, but the weather wasn't so hot and the mood stayed in that same place. I'm looking at all my recent posts, too, and I don't like them or the way they were written. I'm paying way too much attention to things like that and I'm doing it as fast as I can.

I'm going to an AA meeting shortly. Maybe if I talk I can burn off some steam. There are people there who are very good at letting me know if I've been rambling too long, so I can't screw up too badly. The content of what I say will make a fool out of me. That's the way it is right now, I can't do anything about it.

Later aain and again,
Reggie BoStar
