(((B2))How I soothe myself

Posted by muffled on November 18, 2005, at 12:16:51

Nice muffled is back.
B2, you got alot of sh*t going on emotionally. Corse you feel weird. I think it would be weird if you didn't feel weird. I think its a good thing. Can you get xanax. If you have anixety it works great without making you sleepy. Just gets a person over the rough patches.
How often do you see your T.? Could you set up some phone times? or fax stuff? Sometimes I fax my T stuff. Sometimes I REALLY wished I hadn't! But it makes me feel not so alone at the time.
Sometimes I just hide under a blanket.
Other than that I don't have much suggestions other than the basic self soothing type things you've proly learned.
I can tell you it DOES ease up.
My favorite was noticing how the emotions would rise till I thot I couldn't stand it, but then they'd ease up a bit, and so on. Like waves on the beach. So I knew even when they were real bad they WOULD ease up if I could just let them pass, even if I didn't LET them, they seemed to ease up anyways.
Its OK to have your feelings. Shows you a caring human being. But they are just SIGNALS to you that somethings going on. And you are dealing with stuff. So thats ok. Try to just go with them, don't fight them, just let them flow on thru, and when they come up again, let them flow. Its ok. They are natural and normal.
And breath, deep calming breaths. In the nose (I am going), out the mouth(to be OK). I kind of close my lips some so I sort of blow out against pressure, if that amkes sense. And you can put what words suit you at the time. But deep and slow and calm.
I got a post for you bout my lil sweeties, but I'll post it when you feel stronger.
Take care (((B2)))
