I think this thread is just fine here (I haven’t looked at Social yet so I don’t know if you posted there too).

From the way you tell it, you knew Tony was there before he talked to your psychologist... or did I misunderstand? Are you concerned mainly because he’s there, or because he talked to your psychologist? Or a bit of both? Or didn’t you know he was there in the first place?

From what I understand, some people do remember what their alters say and some don’t (and some remember sometimes but not other times, or they remember more with some alters then others). So if you remember what you said, Tony could still be an alter. But I think your psychologist is right: Tony is you, and you are partly him. And there are a lot of people who have alters; it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

I can understand your fears about others coming. And if you did know about Tony then you might know about any others who are there. But even if there are others, and if you don’t feel you know all your alters, you can get to know them: it’s part of the process of getting to know yourself. Do you trust your psychologist to help you deal with it?

(((((Matt)))))

Take things slowly and try not to worry too much (I know that’s easier said than done).
