I have to agree with Dinah, my sessions rarely cover more than 3 topics. Occasionally I go in with a specific topic I would like to discuss, and ironically it turns out to be the least important topic of the session! Like Tuesday, I went in wanting to discuss my unwillingness to ever accept help and how my mother contributed to that mindset, and ended the session sobbing into a tissue about how I'm still searching for the protective "daddy" I never felt like I had. Weird.

I find it helpful to keep a list of therapy topics to pull out if the well ever starts to run dry, but my T doesn't seem to like me having a specific agenda in mind. For some reason she likes my stream-of-consciousness ramblings. :) Maybe you could try writing down *everything* that is on your mind right now, bring in the most important one or two, then see where things proceed from there. If you review the list right before a session, the topics will all be fresh in your mind and might have a better chance of coming up.

<Sigh> I know what you mean about topics coming up and not being addressed... sure feels sometimes like therapy sessions should be longer than 50 minutes....
