Ladybug -
I'm not Lott, but I think it's important to express all your feelings to your therapist. After 8 years of working so closely together, strong feelings undoubtably develop.
Your therapist has expresed warm, carings for you. And any feelings you have for her, probably should be discussed. What I'm not clear from your post, do you love her as your therapist? as this wonderful supportive person who has helped you sort through your stuff? ... or do you have a fantasy that your relationship can develop further outside the therapy room? Either way, it is grist for the therapy room. Clearly after 8 years there is a fondness that develops. Well earned, I might add.
You're so lucky!
