I kind of did get that feedback sometimes. My T encouraged me to more assertive with my dad, and then I would end up feeling less childish with him. So no, I don't feel afraid of growing up. I spent most of my childhood feeling helpless, and now I'm not anymore. I used to tell my T things that my dad said to me that tore me down, and I remember once he looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes, and said, "You're a woman now." That was so liberating, I can't even tell you.
