Yes, writing helps a great deal. I had to write, maybe I still have to, I don't know, but I had to write to my ex-T for a long time in order to feel some measure of safety in the world. I needed to not feel so terribly alone. It helped immensely and I'm happy your therapist allows you to do that. It's terrible though, that we have to feel like we're such a burden, and anything they do to reinforce that feeling is like a kiss of death.
