last night, late, I heard a gurgling, crying sound, and simultaneously, a car roaring down the street.
I was mostly asleep, but freaked out thinking that my son (who lives six blocks away with his dad and stepmom) had just been dragged into a car by his throat. It took all of my willpower NOT to call over there and make sure he was asleep in his bed. It was probably just a car going by and my cat crying for companionship!
So, yes, I think I can relate.... you are not alone,
