I went to a shrink who was also a practicing neuro and he wanted to hook me up to an elaborate EEG-like test, in-patient- until I experienced a fugue- I also respond to stress. but that scenario induced so much stress that I couldn't show up, so for now the EEGs I have had have all been normal (ordered by the state because I had a couple of seizures as results of accidents). so, I do understand the difficulty of actually recording the episode. but I really am convinced of the whole dissociative/bipolar/panic disorder- epileptic link.
