Dear Waki,

I believe that any therapist can help you--just contact a counselling center, tell them your concerns, and they can set up an appointment. Ask anyone you know if they can recommend someone, also. Usually what has happened to me is that my first visit involves filling out questionaires so the administrators can assess what my "issues," for want of a better word, are; the second is what is known as an "intake" appointment when I have discussed my history and why I have come, with a therapist who may or may not work with me in the future based on my information and assessed compatability. After this, you begin regular sessions with a therapist. I have never started with a definite problem; I've usually said, I have a problem and I need help, but I'm not sure what the problem is.

Good luck,
Edna
