Well, I'm probably never going to look at it, after I look once or twice and accept that that really is what he looks like. After that I won't think of it. But what if he got hit by a bus or something tomorrow? Photos are one of those tangible reminders we have of people and places.
Mind you, I hope I never *have* to remember him, because I'm still hoping for forever therapy that only ends when I predecease him.
