I can't believe I forgot smell! Yes, I think all those things are important. I still know what my mother's perfume smelled like when she was going out (leaving me)...it was different than her "everyday" perfume.
I too am glad we have all forms of communication as adult. But even with all the tools we have, it is interesting how we can misread people, or allow ourselves to be misread.
