Hi Daisy,

I really could use a pair of black boots to go with my black skirt, hmmm. Then again the cat hair sticks to that skirt like glue. I better stick (pun intended) with cat hair free slacks and a nice sweater.

The two women I met with (one of whom currently has the job and got promoted- a good sign) seemed to be open and honest. Interview number two is with my future boss, who is the V.P. of the department I'd be working for, who from what I heard today is wonderful to work for. What a change that would be!

The real good thing is that the job would be with the same organization I currently work for so I'd get to keep my benefits. It's a whole different department, miles from where I currently work, so it'll feel like a fresh start. It really is one, the women I talked to today, hadn't heard of the program I work for. That says something about the importance of what I currently do, doesn't it?

I emailed a thank you to the woman who called me to tell me I had a second interview, and she emailed me back. This is so positive, I can't believe this is happening after years of applying, interviewing and failing, including other departments. I guess I finally found the right one!

I will bring my future boss a resume, and surprisingly for me, anyway, a positive attitude.

Thanks for marking your calendar and thanks for helping me be positive. That's a rarity for me.
