weight loss, depression, medication

Posted by Gale Fox on August 30, 2003, at 12:12:53

Part of my struggle with depression right now is aound weight. I've lost 50-60 lbs in the last year and am hanging right around the low limit of acceptable weight. Me (and my doctor) are concerned that I don't lose more.

I'm taking 100 mg Wellbutrin and 100 mg Strattera right now, and these may be affecting this - a side effect of Wellbutrin can be weight loss and a side effect of Strattera can be appetite suppression.

However, I still get hungry, but tend to ignore it or go out and buy a quick burger. Any ideas about how to change this? Quick snacks I can keep around that are healthy & not sweet? (I've been eating protein bars fro breakfast and they are way too sweet).

any feedback appreciated.
