Trileptal vs Lamictal vs Seroquel

Posted by White Stone on June 24, 2003, at 12:53:01

My last two doctors have concurred that my dx is Bipolar I, Mixed. The first go around I was on Zyprexa and Zoloft. The second go around my medication was changed to Neurontin and Wellbutrin with Trazadone being added later. After many weeks and feeling that that combo wasn't working, we are trying the next step up in the side effect profile: Trileptal with the Wellbutrin and Trazadone.

Has anyone else been on Trileptal and how did it help bipolar (or not)? Also, she said the other next drugs to try w/b Lamictal or Seroquel. Of these, my preference w/b the Lamictal. Any other thoughts or experiences?

Thanks for your help.
