> Welcome :-)Thanks Alexandra - as far as I can make out manic defence means keeping so manically busy that you avoid your feelings/thoughts - I'm sure that's way too simplistic an explanation - couldn't find much about it that I understood!
It's 3.30 am, I have the christmas blues and would love to be able to sleep!!!! 7 months without alcohol and I'm still not sleeping. Oh well, at least I don't wake up with hangovers.
