Hi there, welcome to Babble :-)
I have reposted a copy of your post over on the main Babble board because there will likely be more people over there who have something to say about the medications you mention. Here is a link to the repost:http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20050723/msgs/534070.html
Anxiety can feel pretty horrible. Pretty terrifying. I'm not sure that things necessarily get better or worse, different people have different experiences with that. Therapy can help. Do you have a therapist?
Medications are hard... I think that a lot of people struggle with having to take them. And with what it means to have to take them. And with what might happen to them if they take them.
The warnings can be hard. Mostly the side-affects aren't experienced by everybody. Just by some people. The especially nasty ones aren't experienced by everyone at any rate. It can be hard to hear about the worst case scenario of what might happen though.
Maybe try and take the meds?
I guess your doc prescribed it cause he thought it might help you.
There is only one way to find out whether it will help you and that is to take it.
If it isn't so helpful or if you experience nasty side-affects then you can always stop taking it.Anyways... welcome.
I hope you find some peace soon
