Welcome to Babble. I'm sorry you are having difficulty with Sam-E. You're right, it really is a drug, in the manner in which it affects your body.
Have you been over to the Alternatives Board? There are lots of posters there with experience and information about Sam-E, vitamin supplements, and such.
