Hi, and welcome to the boards!

I came off Zoloft last year, but because it wasn't working for me, it did't have much of an effect when I came off it. It certainly sounds like Zoloft is helping you a great deal at the moment, do you feel that it is helping enough? If not, it might be possible to combine it with another medication to help you a bit more. Like you I have been depressed for many years, since my early teens, and I don't really know what it feels like to be 'normal', so I don't know if my medication is helping as much as it could.

There are other boards on here too - psych-babble, for medication related issues might be a good place to ask about Zoloft, there are alot of people there who have taken it, there is also a substance abuse board if you want to discuss that.

I hope that you begin to feel as 'at home' here as I do!
