Wellbutrin for BDIIs

Posted by fattoush on November 24, 2009, at 2:08:56

Is Wellbutrin Okay for "soft bipolars?" I am on Lithium 450 mgs and only that. I have ongoing dysthymia, with periods of more severe depression. I tried AAPs and don't like them. Lamictal gives me severe daily headaches. ADs have usually flipped me into hypomania (even with the Lithium on board), except I never tried Wellbtrin. I figured it starts out being more agitating, so why risk it. I have another BDII friend doing well on it though for his depression, not to mention energy, sex drive, etc... Thoughts, please?
