My son's school has had an outbreak of hoof and mouth, or foot and mouth I suppose. They said it doesn't always involve the rash, so I guess that's a possibility. Problem is that it's gone on too long (I think), and also that there's still nothing they can do about it other than to wait it out.

Either my fever's gone up from this or I've also caught the flu. My throat and ears hurt.

There seems to be a relationship to salt or spices. But mostly salt.

I chew the gum to keep my mouth clear of the icky stuff without rubbing my tongue along it. Bleck.

I was going to call my dentist, but the suspicion that I now have the flu as well is keeping me from doing it. I don't want to infect anyone.

I have no fortitude. :(

I hate being sick. I just want to go to bed. But of course I can't. So Motrin and work it is. (At home of course.)
