Does anyone know the how much alcohol is the best amount to drink in terms of raising hdl while avoiding risks of excess consumption? It's often said 1-2 drinks for women or 2-3 for men is the maximum amount that should be consumed.
That's too much for me. I heard someone on the radio say you can get maximal benefits in terms of raising hdl by just having 1/2 drink every other day. (??)
That seems rather low to me. Could this be correct? Would't it be better to have 1/2 or 1 drink per day? Thanks for any input.
